 The Amazing Spider-Man Fri-Sun Total O/U $88,156,227... Club Although the new film will open on a Tuesday, as opposed to SM2's Wednesday opening, is there a chance that it will have strong enough word of mouth and momentum for its Friday-to-Sunday total to eclipse it, or will the first 3 days of release drain too much from its first weekend?
I'm gonna be conservative and go under for now.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man Fri-Sun Total O/U $88,156,227... I can see this happening as the market is kinda sucky right now but this weekend will be more telling. Ted and Magic Mike if both do well then Spiderman might have tough time reaching the heights it could.
Both Ted and Magic Mike cater to a totally different audience whereas Brave and Mad 3 have satisfied kids, so the audience might not be hungry for another blockbuster.

Last time a film did that was TF2 back in 2009 and that is one of the biggest openings in box office history.
