I really don't see this as a Village-esque scenario like people are saying. That said it will be a little frontloaded, but helped by Father's Day.

I'm not buying the heavy, heavy drop. Although its audience score was a "B," for the under 25 crowd it was an "A-."

Also, it is one of those movies that elicits a lot of watercooler discussion. Along with the nostalgia aspect and Father's Day, I think it has a chance to squeak in a drop under 55%, say 52%.

I am saying the under 25 crowd gives A scores easily.


I would not put much faith in the under 25 crowd...

They hardly come to the movie theaters these days.

Prometheus is dumb with a capital UM - - I'm surprised it's not selling better.

Because nothing says Father's Day like an Alien movie?

I would think Rock of Ages and Madagascar 3 ought to benefit from this effect, but not Prometheus.

I had it projected at a 21M weekend without Father's Day. That should give it an extra 2M. That would be 23M or a 55% drop.
