I'm gonna take a risk and go with The Campaign being the huge comedy hit of the summer despite it not having a trailer to go off of yet.

This is the perfect time for a movie like this, and the premise sounds pretty fun.

Plus Will Ferrell + Zach Galificankiss should be a big draw.

I find Rock of Ages hard to pin down. I know on paper it should be another Hairspray or even a Mamma Mia!, but there's this...unappealing element to it. I can't see it grossing 100 mil. And I don't feel the ads have capitalized on the ridiculous novelty of Tom Cruise playing a Joe Elliott/Vince Neil type figure nearly well enough.

I wonder if it'll be PG-13 or R.

True, I hadn't even thought about it being the race for summer's biggest R-rated movie against The Expendables 2 and Prometheus. I see others also have Neighborhood Watch and Ted as answers too.

Neighborhood Watch will definitely be PG-13, IMO. I still believe Prometheus will be, too. A 250-million sci-fi horror movie going out with a restrictive R rating? Can't see Fox allowing it, and Ridley will always be able to release the harder cut on Blu-ray and DVD.

I'm predicting That's My Boy to be the top R-rated movie.

Ah, yes, definitely forgot about That's My Boy. Should be an interesting race assuming Prometheus doesn't get the R-rating.

Will we know if Prometheus is rated R by the start of the game you think?

We get one more MPAA update I think.

Possible, but doubtful. At this point, with how close we're getting to June, I'd be surprised if it got an R rating. It seems like they would have committed to it by now if it was going to be R.

Thank you sir! :) Looks like Question #2 is the only one so far that's getting pretty much the same answer, so that's lucky. Usually I'll end up having two or three of them that everyone answers the same, and that's no fun!

Predictions are for the entire total gross of each movie. There's no cutoff date on when when we stop counting its gross.

Final standings won't be clear most likely until late September.

Absolutely! I am not recording the predictions down until the deadline.

Remember though, if a prediction is edited past the deadline, the entire prediction would be voided.

So, if you're picking Prometheus to be the highest-grossing "R" film can you include an alternate in case it doesn't end up being "R"?
