I am very perplexed as to why The Descendants is losing 100 theaters the weekend after two big Globe wins. I get that they want to also probably wait for the nominations, but the movie is already doing really well thanks to already mentioned major wins. Weird.

It's supposedly expanding to 1,400 next weekend.

The PTA isn't that great, although still, it's losing a lot for $3000+. I'm guessing that it's strong in some areas and weaker in others, so it's dropping the low ones.
