Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
It increased from the estimates. WOM is going to be big for this one, I see great legs specially in 3D for $600m OS total and $1b WW now. I just can't fathom how huge Hobbit will be with 3D.

Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
The Hobbit 3D trailer attached before the Avengers screening received great reactions (minor claps and murmur which for the crowd here is very very unusual) I think Hobbit will be huge here. The gasps at the opening of the trailer was telling how beloved middle-earth is here.

Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
I know we've talked about this over and over but to have Hobbit, TDKR and Avengers in the same year is just amazing!

Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
I can name you $33.1m reasons why AVENGERS opened a week early internationally...
Tuesday is a holiday and Monday was worth $33.1m bringing the total to $218.2m...

Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
Nice one mark Monday is $33.1m but that would also mean previews from some of the countries (like Singapore ) I believe. It was definitely a good decision to release it a week earlier, the Tuesday will cross $50m I bet.

BMP wrote: almost famous wrote: $1.37 mln on 21 screens from 5 day IMAX previews in Russia Is that a great or a disappointing start? It's obviously very good. Quite similar to John Carter gross in IMAX. But the prices are really huge and demand for those 21 screens too.

I don't live in Russia either but in any country 21 screens divided by a 1.37 mill gross is $57,619 per screen
