So Green Lantern is looking at $58m-$60m opening weekend or maybe a little higher. The number mostly surpassed the expectations or met them (ok there are few for which it did not meet expectations, but even those can't deny this number is better). For its sophomore weekend it has some tough battle 1. It will be having an inflated Sunday due to Father's Day weekend 2. Next weekend will be quite big for openers (a 100m+ from combined openers) which means holdovers will have somewhat tough time. 3. The WOM at best for this seems mixed....definitely lower than Thor and X-Men 4. Superhero genre (plus DC Fans) tends to have high drops in sophomore weekend due to natural frontloading 5. Green Lantern had 2177 3D screens and Cars 2 will surely take good amount of them and if they are still playing it it won't have prime-time showings. So what do you think will be Green Lantern's drop next weekend? Right now I think about 62% |

If it did drop 21% on Saturday than it looks like WOM is coming in fast. 65% or more sounds about right. |

I don't get that saturday drop at all, wom simply doesn't sink in that quickly to that extent, and it doesn't have a huge rush factor. I'm still really suspicious that it's even correct. |

52-58% whether or not the Sat drop is correct. |
