Had a feeling Gnomeo would break out, its the first kids film in ages. Could hurt Yogi Bear make $100m though? As expected for Bieber which is good, but on the low end of expectations for Just Go With It. Valentine's Day and the long weekend next week may help it limp to $100m |

The IM for GAJ seems a bit off, I don't think it will double itself tomorrow. Something around 17m-18m should be good for it. Bieber was expected to open huge with 3D and advance sales...though I don't think it will get any close to 100m JGWI underwhelmed a little.....I think it will reach 100m even with mixed WOM. It has 4 days for weekend a rarity that no other opener enjoys and it should probably increase on Monday. It could reach for a 45m 4-day total. |

If so it essentially gets two 4-day weekends! |

Last time VD fell on a Monday was in 2005 and HITCH dropped 29 % from Sunday... http://www.boxofficemojo.com/daily/char ... -14&p=.htm |

Disappointing for Just Go With It. How did The Eagle make $3m last night? It looks terrible (with reviews to match), females could have chosen Sandler/Aniston, and Focus Features doesn't have a very good track record opening films like this. |

JGWI is also a comedy but is primarily sold as Romantic movie. On top of it the lead actors in Hitch (arguably Will Smith) are not as famous as in JGWI in terms of draw. Smith is definitely not as well known for his romantic roles then he is for comedy and action. Though I do agree that it might not increase, but I think it has a remote chance for that or maybe stay flat. |

Hitch seemed way more "romantic" than Just Go with It, at least IMO. I presume Sandler and Aniston get together in the end, but this isn't the main angle at all. The TV spots I've seen just push the whole "Sandler has to pretend to be a dad, awkward 'hilarity' ensues!" angle. |

With 5.8M Friday, G&J would only need a 50% bump Saturday/35% drop Sunday to hit 20M. It should be able to do that at the least. |

Being Nikki, I think JGWI will end up a bit higher than 10M for Friday. She did say it was coming on strong all night. |

I think being the only kids flick release after a long time will help prevent that 50% increase. I expect it to be a little bit more frontloaded than the usual kids movies. |
