wow Canada is like Britain. 80 million is assured and likely we will push 85+ million. Avatar will dominate for weeks now, or at least until Valentine's day.

It started off slow and i think it can beat Titanic + 30% 3d premium...

Post subject:  Re: Canadian B.O. 2010 (AVATAR down 6 %)

Avatar weekly drops get better down to only 8% for the week.

It will beat Titanic this week at 67-68 million to become the highest grossing film ever.

Amazing Performance by Avatar, I think 100 million in Canada looks possible now.

With limited compeition and a cold winter ahead, Avatar will rule.

If it continues it current trend it will end well over 125 million...lol

However 100 million is the target...That would mean ratio wise, avatar would have grossed 900+v million domestic!!

Well there is a chance for 100M considering that Canadian BO works well with elongated runs. But I would say 87-90M is definitely a safe bet at this time

True but in Canada, I have noticed that all time hit usually dominate the box office far more than in the US.

FOTR and TTT were number one for 6 weeks and in the top 5 for a long time.

100 million looks shaky unless it stays even this weekend.

Avatar will lose the top spot this weekend but I think it should easily get 2nd place.

massive drop, perhaps last weekend was counted as a 4-day

even so a 37% drop off a holiday weekend.

Still Avatar is easily the 2nd biggest film in Canada (Titanic easily sold way more tickets)

Why would it be counted as a 4-day? There's no national holiday falling on that Monday.
