Well, it doesn't seem likely that it'll exceed 300,000 now, which I thought was almost a given with the early updates. It really "slowed" down between 5-7pm before picking back up again.
It does still has a couple showtimes per theater until midnight in the most urban regions and since they're late-night specials, those showings are pretty packed, so the last update should see a fair increase. It also has a few showings after midnight tonight (12:30am, 1am), and I'm not entirely sure if those will be counted as part of Saturday, or if they're actually part of Sunday.

I don't think One Piece can manage a 1 million+ admission debut with this number, though it's still mightily impressive. I believe it's looking at a debut around 900,000 admissions, depending on what happens tomorrow. Sunday, which are stronger during the summer box office season (all the other films listed were December openers), could still deliver but the fanbase probably cancels that benefit out.
Here are the debuts it's hoping to beat:

One Piece Film Gold should easily beat Star War's weekend admissions but its weekend gross will be harder to match (though 900,000+ admissions should be enough), while its weekend admissions could end up below Yo-Kai Watch's and Detective Conan's but thanks to higher tickets (3D/4DX), it'll probably beat them in gross.
Supposing it achieves opening weekend of ~900,000 admissions, that'd result in a weekend gross of ¥1.2-1.4 billion ($11-13 million), depending on where its avg. ticket price ends up due to receiving a significant premium format release (3D, 4DX, etc.).

That Pokemon drop though. Last year's movie dropped 61% on its 2nd saturday and that was already bad but this one dropped 63.7%.

>One Piece Film Gold is off to a huge start, delivering another uber-blockbuster opening of ¥1 billion+ for the year; the fourth in just an eighth month span. But while this opening is incredibly impressive, it is, perhaps, a little lower than anticipated. The thirteenth One Piece film, the third in the actual "Film" series, received the widest release of all-time for a domestic film (739 screens), and was given a premium format (3D, 4DX) release as well.
An opening above ¥1 billion was incredibly likely, given its two predecessors opened above the mark on far fewer screens and in 2D, but it really should have gotten closer to ¥1.5 billion considering its situation. ¥1 billion+ openers are rare, though, and some years end up with a single film open above the mark, if they have any at all, so presuming One Piece does achieve the milestone is a big deal. And even more impressive, we've now had four films achieve this feat in the past eight months, and that's an incredible feat for the box office to achieve.
>Overall, though, this weekend was "disappointing" for this time of year. The holdovers experienced abnormally poor drops, especially Finding Dory; its second weekend drop is twice as high as most other blockbuster Pixar films.
And on a possibly related note, and possible explanation for the "stunted" weekend box office: Pokemon GO launched in Japan on Friday, and considering its huge popularity, I suppose it's reasonable to assume it may have impacted the box office in some way this weekend. If next week's drops are noticeably stronger than usual, then I believe the game can be ruled as a factor this weekend.

It will have to have really overperformed in the remaining locations to reach 825k admissions with its acquisition rate being quite high (67%) at the usual locations (ULs). Is Toei being the distributor and not being accounted for at the ULs the reason for such a low UL admissions/total admissions ratio ?

One Piece Film Gold opened to a mighty ¥1,155,771,000 ($11.0 million) on 820,830 admissions across a record 739 screens.
The thirteenth film in the franchise, and third in the "Film" series, did manage to score the biggest opening day of the year by earning ¥675,176,000 ($6.4 million) on 478,528 admissions, but a sharp Sunday decline of 29% resulted in its weekend frame falling behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Detective Conan: The Darkest Nightmare.
'Gold' is the third One Piece film to debut above the ¥1 billion milestone, making it the first domestic film franchise to accomplish this achievement. It's also the first animated film franchise to accomplish this feat, and the fourth overall film franchise as well.
Distributor Toei is projecting a total exceeding ¥6 billion ($55-60 million).

>One Piece Film Gold was truly golden in its debut atop the box office with an uber-class opening weekend of ¥1 billion+, making it the fourth film to open above the milestone in just eight months (a new record).
The thirteenth film in the franchise, and third in the "Film" series, sold 820,830 admissions over the weekend across a record 739 screens. The opening weekend is 16% below the previous film, One Piece Film Z (2012), and 11% higher than One Piece Film Strong World (2009). 'Gold' did manage to score the biggest opening day of the year by earning ¥675,176,000 ($6.4 million) on 478,528 admissions, but a sharp Sunday decline denied it the biggest opening weekend of the year.
Toei is expecting it to reach ¥6 billion ($55 million), which is reasonable and achievable goal.
'Gold' is the third One Piece film to debut above the ¥1 billion milestone, making it the first domestic film franchise to accomplish this achievement. It's also the first animated film franchise to accomplish this feat, and the fourth overall film franchise as well after Harry Potter (6); Star Wars (4); Pirates of the Caribbean (3) and Spider-Man (3).
>Finding Dory slips to second place, and while it experienced the best hold in the Top 10, its second weekend drop is surprisingly much higher than past Pixar/Disney films. I don't believe it's the film itself that is to blame for the drop, but rather something that happened to the actual box office over the weekend (possible explanation below).
Disney/Pixar's sequel to Finding Nemo, Pixar's most-successful film in Japan, has now sold over 1.6 million admissions after two weeks in release. It's currently trailing Monsters University by 14% after two weeks. If it would have a similar run from this point forward, it'll finish around ¥7.5 billion ($70 million) with 5.5-6.0 million admissions, but that's coming off a much weaker second weekend (31% difference); it'll need to rebound soon or face big seating/showtime cuts next month.
>Independence Day: Resurgence and Alice Through the Looking Glass exceeded the ¥2 billion mark over the weekend, and both films are on track about ¥3 billion (~$30 million) or slightly more.
>Accel World: Infinite∞Burst actually managed a Top 10 debut on just 24 screens, coming in 9th place in terms of admissions, but oddly, no figures have been released. If any numbers come out, I'll post them sometime this week.
The weekend drops this week are abnormally high, and it's unclear why exactly. One explanation may be that Pokemon GO launched in Japan on Friday, and as expected, is a major hit with kids and adults alike. And based on the tweets I've seen all weekend, it's certainly possible that the game resulted in a deflated weekend.

Shin Godzilla (also known as Godzilla: Resurgence) will soon invade Japan once again after 12 long years away from the big screen, debuting this weekend across every format, including IMAX, 3D, 4D, and MX4D locations.
Toho's third reboot of Japan's second most-attended franchise in history with 99.25 million ticket sold, the 29th entry in the iconic franchise will make its debut this Friday. The long-awaited return of Godzilla is being co-directed by none other than Hideaki Anno (Evangelion) and Shinji Higuchi (Attack on Titan, Gamera), with the later also serving as special effect supervisor.

The newest incarnation of Godzilla is the biggest version of the iconic character yet, standing an astonishing 118.5 meters (389 feet), eclipsing Legendary's recent Godzilla from 2014.
And reviews so far, from the press, have been very positive, praising the new film for its unprecedented filmmaking achievements, while maintaining the fundamental message and spirit of Godzilla. Online signs are strong, there's been a yearning for a Godzilla for many years now that's reminiscent of the Showa and Hensei periods of the character that's also capable of representing Japan in its modern day. And based on the first critic reviews and premiere reactions, this one might just be that film.
Toho has also announced that the film has already been sold to over 100 territories. After Japan, it'll debut in other Asian markets in August/September, and Funimation announced at Comic-Con that they'll be distributing the film across North America, South America, and the Caribbean later this year.

The opening of Shin Godzilla, Toho's third reboot of their iconic series, the 29th installment and first in 12 years, had a successful debut. It opened 23% higher than Gareth Edward's 2014 adaptation.

>Shin Godzilla, the third reboot and 29th installment in Toho's iconic film series, experienced a strong debut atop the box office, besting Gareth Edward's 2014 adaptation by a comfortable 23%.
Director Hideaki Anno (Evangelion) and Shinji Higuchi (Attack on Titan; Gamera) adaptation of the 12 year dormant franchise sold an impressive 412,302 admissions over the weekend frame across 441 screens. And since debuting early on Friday, it managed an excellent 564,332 admissions after three days in release.
Critical reception for the new Godzilla has been met with great praise, but more importantly, its audience reception is also quite strong. So given the prime summer release, the positive reception, and an upcoming month of films without much adult appeal, a gross north of ¥4 billion ($40 million) should be very reasonable. That'd make it a success, but if it can inch closer to, or exceed, ¥5 billion ($50 million), then I'm sure Toho will fast-track their new era Godzilla franchise.
>One Piece Film Gold experiences a sharp decline in its second weekend, but still doubled its opening weekend after nine days - a sign that legs should be, relatively speaking for the genre, fair. And after nine day in release, it's sold over 1.7 million admissions. Unfortunately, the previous film had its second weekend over a holiday, so a direct comparison isn't going to be accurate. Still, with plenty of summer (and Obon Week) to go, it's still likely on track to exceed the ¥5 billion ($50 million) blockbuster milestone.
>Finding Dory recovered very, very well after its usually poor second weekend drop last week. After sixteen days in release, Pixar's sequel to their most successful film in the market has sold over 2.6 million admissions. It's now trailing Monsters University by just 5%, though to be fair, MU had just entered the summer box office season in its third week. I expect Dory and MU to have a similar performance, so look for a total of ¥8 billion+ ($75 million+).
>The Legend of Tarzan settles for a fourth place start, but managed to perform well in regards to expectations. David Yates's take on the class character sold 123,734 admissions over the weekend on 496 screens. That should be enough to get it over the ¥1 billion ($10 million) milestone unless it collapses from the heavy August competition.
