An R-rated 163-minute long difficult superhero flick on the one hand. One of the most terrificly and intensively marketed films of the year on the other hand. I go with MORE. |

First "event" movie of the year + great marketing + recession + super hero genre. Yeah this should have a great opening, over 60 million. But I wouldn't be surprised if it finishes under 150 million. |

The market/economy + the campaign + 300 > 65. legs-wise, we're looking at a much lower total than 300... unless it opens to like over 90m or something ridiculous. |

It doesn't look that great  , and that runtime is insane. I had no idea it was so long. That will put a damper on things. Yet being the only new wide release opening and not having much competition will help it a lot. I guess I say more. Maybe 67 Million.

Run time doesn't matter anymore. Theaters will make it available if necessary. If it's selling out every show, or the majority, they'll open more theaters to it. I actually wish it could be longer. I mean, there is just so much to cover from the book. MORE! |
