Since I've seen the TV Spots for this countless times, I can't help but to think this really is going to be a crowd pleaser this weekend, especially movies like this that are are both feel good, funny and a tear jerker all in 1.. Because of this, I see this doing surprising numbers and blowing away expectations, even for a movie with Owen Wilson.. This also has appeal across the board for kids and adults as well, so my prediction is: 50 Million 3 day opening 200 Million Domestic Total.. |

It should definitely do well, but $50m opening weekend? No chance. Even if you were talking four-day, it still won't. $40m four-day would be fantastic for it. I'm thinking more like $34m-ish. |

If this pulled $50 m opening weekend, it would finish with $250 m or more. I can see $30 m or so, and a very strong $150 m total. |

He's saying that it'll struggle to crack $100m now because the rule of thumb is that when BKB predicts one way, the outcome is the opposite. |

if Marley and Me had a 50m 3-day OW, it would make something like 250m in total, with good word-of-mouth. So no. Not even half of that. I think a 20m 3-day would be a great start, en route to a possible 100m total. Considering its budget is probably low, that would be great. |

People love feel good tear jerker type of movies around the holidays and there isn't 1 movie being released this weekend that'll stand up to this.. |

well I saw it today...it's certainly going to have fantastic legs; the audience really loved it. And for a 1:30pm show, it was pretty crowded. But yeah, a 50m OW would mean like a 70m 4-day, and it certainly wasn't THAT kind of a crowd, especially with Bedtime Stories doing equally strong business nearby. |
