Even the lethargic German box office will see a huge opening day today... Should be one of the biggest opening days of all-time...

Are Germans not that interested in movies? Was curious how many actual theaters are there.

Germans are notorious for not going to the movies...

Anyway: ENDGAME delivered the 7th best opening day of all-time in admissions (could go up to 5th with final numbers) and third biggest opening day in box office...

ENDGAME hit the 2.5m admissions mark on day 7, thus beating A1 (2.26m) and A2 (2.42m). INFINITY WAR (3.46m) may be beaten by Sunday...

ENDGAME stayed No. 1 in Euros but POKÉMON had the most admissions...

There was no big opener this year in Germany other than Endgame, so "2nd best OD" may mean both failure or huge success.

Hi mark66

Just wondering if you have any predictions for the total German admissions for the 2019 financial year?

At this stage i'm total admissions of 112 million.

Cheers

That would be a gain of 6.3 % compared to last year...

I'm still hoping for more, especially if some of the German films deliver in the fall...

TLK is no record breaker, but still a great opening (2nd biggest of the year)

TLK has another great drop and passed THE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST as Disney's biggest remake...
