Less than ICE AGE 2, RATUL for SIMPS by a screen, but CARS was only on 4 screens too. |

Bryan_smith wrote: that's pretty damn good presales for the Simpsons... Everyone I know wants to see this (all within the 20-25 age group) We all grew up on it Yeah, pretty much. See, I sort of stopped watching the show on a regular basis about six or seven years ago. Up until that point, I'd say it was my second favorite television show behind only Friends. I don't hate the show now like a lot of people do and watch reruns occasionally, but I don't watch regularly, like I said. That said, I will be there in full force for the movie this weekend. That's why people who claim the movie won't do well because it only attracts an average of 8 million viewers now are either misguided or stupid. There will be countless people out there (like me!) who used to be big fans of the show and will still go see the movie without a doubt. |

I gave up on the show after season 13(though i still watch some new episodes) but i own the first 7 seasons and watch it all the time, im also going to watch the movie despite thinking the show is shit since season 10. |

We have sold about 200 tickets for Simpsons tomororw night, so some sell outs forsure are on the way. |

Quote: AMC Burbank 16 (Los Angeles): 12:01 am, 12:01 am, 12:01 am, 12:05 am This is a particularly good theater for tracking purposes. Being a neighborhood multiplex in an industry town (Burbank) while local attitudes eschew the typical hype, when this theater has sell-outs it is usually a good sign and when a film underperforms here, it's a telling sign. |

So we should expect what, $3-4 million from midnights? Mighty impressive for a franchise most fans have given up on. |
