Post Which 2008 Films Will Top The Biggest Film of 2007?
Here's just a hypothetical. We know that with the big 3 cooling off, and without a huge overperformance of a big film, the top film of 2007 could very well be at $330 m or so. What 2008 films do you think could exceed this year's top film?

I want Disney to move Narnia to the winter. IMO it could do $400 m in the winter. It will not do as well in May. They shouldn't take another chance like they did with POTC 3, because it didn't pay off. A Narnia sequel in the winter imo would get a bigger bump up then May.

IJ will make about 350.

I expect Indiana Jones to fall below $170m.

That is, if it's as bad as the previous three installments, which were awful.

The Dark Knight won't pass $300 million.

Prince Caspian currently stands the best chance at winning next year.

Yeah, Narnia 2 stands the best shot at $300m, it just gives you that vibe of a Shrek 2 or Pirates 2 style increase.

And the original Narnia was kind hampered by King Kong....expect this one to open really well and since it is a kiddie flick....should have good legs...

Harry Potter 6, is probably the next strongest, that movie is again opening in November.....expect at least $250m.

Dark Night should do somewhere between the first and $250m......i think it's too dark and heavy to beat $250m.

Indiana Jones should do $200m on the strength of the name, but for me it holds little interest...

Ridiculous...

The sequel could very well make less than the original, which wasn't nowhere near the WOM monster the first Pirates was, the Jesus allegory appealed heavily to the Christians, Christmas time was ideal for its winter theme.

Well the last Batman was good film but what makes you think the next one will get 300 million.

I agree i could see near 280 million

Mummy 3 won't hurt it as it 2 weeks before this film.

They should also open on Fri as well.

None of them, I don't think. Narnia will suffer in the summer, Indiana Jones and Dark Knight don't have big enough fanbases, and Wall-E will probably be too smart for kids. Nothing else can come close.

Well, it's too early to tell if nothing this year will cross $350 million. But it's looking very unlikely. And 2008 doesn't look better.

I see:
Half-Blood Prince - $300 million
The Dark Knight - $300 million
Prince Caspian - $275 million
Indiana Jones IV - $250 million
Wall-E - $240 million
