Wow. Dreamgirls had an impressive increase. Pursuit continues to impress and Charlotte's Web is showing some very strong mid-week legs.

18. GOOD GERMAN, THE WARNER BROS. 5 9,636 1,927 n/a 108,992

Not a great opening for Letters. Only doubling The Good German's PTA when German is already out for a week and had a weak first opening weekend. Million Dollar Baby had $22,494 PTA in 8 theaters when it opened the weekend before Christmas, and it looks like Letters will at best match that average in 5 (assuming a 50% Wednesday-to-Friday increase and 3.4 IM).

Oops. I edited my post, I mis-read it, I thought it was $20,000, not $4,000. Guess I should pay better attention.

Business seems a lot stronger than it usually does this time of the year, at least comparing to past years. Maybe I'm wrong.

Either way, a good sign for the next two weeks.

That is pretty much expected. I think it increases by 130% today and that puts it at about 7.8-8 mill for the day. That would put it on pace for about a 20-21 mill weekend.

I think MTC may be slightly exagerrated. I don't think we'll see a nationwide drop of 46%.

3.6ish for yesterday would be my guess.

The numberss are unofficial, definitely, and i would tend to think you are right. It does seem a bit high.

That could play a factor, good point. I may be wrong here, but I believe Regal is somewhat regionalized. They are a conglomerate, but I'm not sure their presence in the northeast (among other areas) is that strong.

Regardless, we'll know SBD within a matter of minutes so the hypothesizing is for naught :)

Could very well hit it domestically, it should be near or pass 75 million by New Years Day. Too bad its not realeasing WW until February. Even so not bad, for a hasbeen actor beating his dead horse, huh?

I'm guessing it'll gross $5m in foreign release.

Seriously, they shouldn't even bother.
