Wow, that 162 theater count boost for Charlotte's Web would seem to indicate a lot of confidence from Paramount.
I just read that it only has sales of 1% less than Night at the Museum on Fandango (15% to 14%).

SPC hasn't reported the count for Curse of the Golden Flower, which also opens tomorrow. It'll be showing in a good number of theaters in the bay area, so I expect about 20 overall.

Charlotte's Web should have had the 11 additional theaters and The Pursuit of Happyness the 162 additional theaters based on last weekend's box office.

You can't have expected it to hold onto a bunch of its theatres against a new family film, a slightly expanding animated film, and six new wide releases from Wednesday-to-Monday.

We Are Marshall isn't looking as big as I had imagined. With Christmas legs though I think an 18 mil weekend or so would be enough to crack 100.
Charlotte's Web is going to hold amazingly over this break, I'm sure of it.

I am glad Blood Diamond retained its theatres, plus ten.
