Ahhhhhh! Superman is painfully close to hitting $199 million now. Hopefully it can get there by Thursday at the latest. Hopefully the theater count will remain in the 300's for next weekend.

Looks like Superman will hit 200 now, to my dismay.

Actually, I don't think it will do it. I think somehow, something is gonna happend and it won't do it.

Do you think all 410 projectors are going to break down at once during the week or something?

I have to admit, Supes crawl has been mighty impressive, it just never died. Constant 800,000s for a month then constant 400,000s.

Something is going to happend, that's all I'm saying. SR was destined not to break 200m.

LOL, though I think it will crawl over, I think some WB exce will buy out a bunch of theaters just to get it there. The only movie I can think of that couldn't crawl over 200 when it got this close was Pearl Harbor. They tried releasing that movie around December and it still couldn't make 200.

I'm pretty certain SR will reach $200mil, and when it does it'll be in no small part thanks to its strong performance in IMAX cinemas.

Yeah IMAX really helped SR, there is no question there.

20 20 Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Buena Vista - Rated PG-13 13 485 $464,719 $420,331,126 -46%

22 27 Superman Returns
Warner Bros. - Rated PG-13 14 410 $403,377 $198,935,940 34%

I think Superman will indeed cross $200M, but I'm still a happy member of the Under $200M club.

Pirates just kicked everybody's butt. It made about $80M more than I expected.
I am proud to say that $15 of those $420M dollars are mine.

The $200-250 million club will reign supreme.
