It might help them understand people want more humor in their blockbusters. Superman Returns and MI:3 could have used more humor. And it might possibly open them up to the power of women moviegoers. It was they as much as any demographic that made Pirates big. I'm not expecting any major changes but maybe a nudge here or there. |

I think it teaches the studios a lesson about not over marketing your movies. Pirates 2 was made because people wanted to see what happens to Jack next (along with part three). |

Hopefully it will signal that there is life beyond comic book films. And that like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, if you really put care and attention and detail into your character, sets, film, you can produce something beautiful that can bring in a large audience. |
