I actually meant to put in above $305m of the original but cant reverse my poll pick. Im thinking $320m which would be great. Its not impossible that it makes about $270m - but with little competition it should match or surpass the original.

It's the only uber blockbuster left this summer and so far none of the blockbusters have passed $250 million. Therefore, I can't see how it could not make more than the original.

Anyway, this has been discussed to death in the numerous Pirates threads anyway. We could have just as easily added a poll to one of them. It seems foolish to make a new thread just for a poll.

but just what is the big deal that I have to have someone come in and be negative rather about the topic rather than just pass by the thread.

or just come in to answer the thread.

I already had to deal with this in 2 other seperate threads where 1 person each came in to complain.

What do we have about 25 people answering on the poll & posts. NO one else seems to be bothered.

plus have all of these questions been asked - over under POTC 1 and then all of the questions on the comparisions to the #1 opening.

Saw the movie last night... it's still good and has lots of fun bits, but I doubt it'll have the legs of the first movie. Kids may be put off by it since it's darker than the first one and it's hard to understand a lot of what's going on cause of all the heavy accents. I'll go under $300 million on this one.
