That looks less than the 3800 that was supposed to be estimated for PS

Post subject:

Haha, I predicted it would have 3,550 theatres a while ago. Looks like I was spot on.

Just My Luck will struggle to $10 million.

Solid for Poseidon, as expected.

Not too great for Just My Luck, though.

I would have expected a higher number for just my luck
Poseidon seems about right.

All updated. Goal! The Dream Begins has 1,007.

May 19 estimates:
Over the Hedge 3,800
See No Evil 1,000+

No The Da Vinci Code yet.

Post subject:

Over the Hedge should be over 4,000, obviously.

I'm interested to see where The Da Vinci Code ends up. I'm guessing around 3,600.

I don't understand how GOAL is in over 700 theaters, it's not playing ANYWHERE around here, yet ART SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL is

It could drop 60%+ again with that huge theatre drop. I can't believe we're predicting both it and Akeelah (also with a huge theatre drop); I wonder if they're doing this on purpose.

Is Goal getting any advertisement?

I think it might open below $2 million.

Post subject:

I've never seen actual footage from Goal!. I doubt it'll make over $2 million this weekend.

No, there is zero advertisement on Goal! Being a football fanatic myself, I have no interest in seeing the film. It doesn't have the reviews to pull outside people in either. I think even $1m may be lenient.

Hmmm, I'll rent Goal over the weekend, I suppose.

Yes, I still like to call the sports football though. But I like football here very much too.

It IS football. Argh. The real one.

Anyway, it BOMBED in UK and that despite being an English production with an English cast and the English like football. It was an utter non-significance in Germany and most other European countries. I tend to agree that $1 million might be around the ceiling.
