Great for SM4. Isn't that about the same as SM3? And meh for The Wild. Not bad, but... |

Thank You for Smoking should get about $4.5 million this weekend. |

About a 100 more than what the third had. I was getting worried at first considering that this is The Weinstein Company's first big film and it was estimated at 3,500 for a while 'till it dropped to 3,000 last week. But, great count after all. |

Scary Movie 4 will probably make less than the third did opening weekend; there's not as much buzz, the trailer's not as funny, and it's not October, when a horror spoof would do well. It should still do at least $45 million, though. |

Great for Scary Movie 4 obviously, the April record will be broken. The Wild increased as much as I expected it to. I don't think it'll pull a Valiant, but 13-14 mil is probably the absolute most it can get now. Something around 11-12 mil is likely what I'll be predicting. |

Estimates for next week: The Sentinal - 2,600 Silent Hill - 2,400 Seems a bit low for both. And LGF is having sneaks for Akeelah and the Bee next Saturday at 800 theaters. Is this the first time they've held sneaks? |

Is this the first time they've held sneaks? The Sentinel will probably open in about the same amount of theaters that The Interpreter did. |

Extremely low estimates for Silent Hill and The Sentinel. I expect SH to end up with at least what Ultraviolet received and The Sentinel with over 2800. SH should still make more on fewer screens. |

All updated. Also, American Dreamz is estimated at 1,400+ theaters next weekend. |

Ouch. They were giving it nice promotion with AI, it's kind've a slap on the wrist to dump it like that. Slither fell hard, but that's expected I guess. Where's BI2? |

Blah, looks like American Dreamz is being dumped. Test screenings have apparently been poor. $9M tops next weekend. |

Fantastic for SCARY MOVIE 4, good for $40M+ weekend. THE WILD needs $7,000 pta to pass $20M....is that not possible? Really low for SILENT HILL....if they push this a little further, it could open $20M+ |

I expect SH to go out in 2600 theatres. Who knows BOM had 3000 last week for SM4, and look where that ended up. |
