http://www.comingsoon.net/films.php?id=10388 The ads make it look like 24: the movie, which is a good thing as far as marketing goes. It looks pretty exciting, even if nothing super great or memorable. Hehe, just replace "Pete Garrison" with Jack Bauer and you've got the plot of the next 24 season. |

Tracking has his at $12M, which seems way too low. I small a profitable hit. Opening: 17.9 Total: 58.5 (3.27) |

I've learned my lesson on adult thrillers. 20/74. |

Well theres a difference between an adult thriller starring someone like Sean Penn & Nicole Kidman or Denzel Washington & Jodie Foster compared to one with Michael Douglas & Keifer Sutherland, especially when that movie is coming out right after a very successful adult thriller. Tracking is probably on the money, the spots i've seen so far have been looking like your typical thriller, the cast probably wont be making people to rush out to see it. Maybe reviews will help the movie out, if it happens to be good. |

Shack wrote: I've learned my lesson on adult thrillers. 20/74. Yeah that's close to what I predict. 24/75. Not bad, as long as the budget isn't too high. It should do at least as well as the Interpreter. The downside is it is written by the guy who wrote the craptastic Ocean's 12 and Timeline. |

Marketing doens't seem all that strong, and competition is stiff. The other two openers both have strong appeal to adults, and with Thank You for Smoking going to be in it's peak that weekend, I think it'll suffer. The poor marketing done by Fox thusfar (maybe they're given it the limited campaign they have been because I believe they didn't actually finance the film, just distribute it) won't help either. Still, with a PG-13 rating and the cast it has, it'll do moderately well. I'm guessing 14/40 |

Marketing isn't real strong but it isn't bad either, I've seen regular ads during shows such as 24, House and other popular TV shows. I see about 1 ad for it per night lately. |

I think it has some potential, and the marketing hasn't been bad. 17m/56m |

It looks generic. a la FIREWALL. But it could surprise, considering Fox have been doing well lately. |

I see a performance very similiar to Michael Douglas' last thriller, Don't Say a Word. That opened to about $17M and ended with around $55M. |

$19m/$57m That would be a solid gross. |

Who is the lead in The Sentinel? The ads made it look like Kiefer is the lead, but many of you predictors are talking of it as a Michael Douglas movie. So I'm confuzzled. |

There obviously marketing it towards Sutherland, to get the 24 crowd in. Douglas is the main lead, but hasnt had a hit since Don't Say a Word which was all the way in 2001, and still only grossed 55 million. Though I think it looks solid, and a lot like Firewall, even if it opens soft, Im feeling some legs, maybe aroun 17 open and a 50-60 finish. |

Is this movie not being screened for critics? Because there are hardly any reviews up on RT. |

And the few reviews that are there are pretty toxic. Disappointing...I'd held out a kernel of hope for this one. |

The stellar cast won't make up for the sparse marketing. Looking for a $14 million weekend but decent legs with good WOM. |

15.5/49 I don't know what you guys mean about "sparse marketing". I've seen a ton of ads for this. |
