This is turning out to be a fantastic year for not only opening weekends, but amazingly, for subsequent weekends as well.


The most remarkable thing is that this year has given us some incredible weekend grosses for films in their second, third, and fourth weekends. Huge openers like Shrek 2 and The Passion held up very well after their openings; The Incredibles seems to join them as well.


Regarding Opening Weekends exclusively, we have had quite some nice numbers raking up:

With Thanksgiving and holidays coming up, expect films to have not only some mighty openings, but great holds as well. In particular, the last two weeks of the year should give us some wonderful numbers.
