Sith will sit at #6. War of the Worlds will land around #21-26 (or higher, depending on legs).

Infact, the only movie you listed that won't hit that list is The Chronicles of Narnia.

Oh, sorry. #-o #7.

Well, actually, it might hit #6 if they release it in IMAX like they did with Clones.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will make it into the top 50. I'm putting a lot faith into this one.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory actually does have a lot of potential. Multiplie audiences (Burton fans, Depp fans, general kids audiences...) might bring this movie over $200 million and onto that list. We'll have to see...

It's the one movie that's going to surprise this year. I don't think we've really had any big surprises yet, perhaps Hitch, but most people expected that to cross $100 million.

Diary of a Mad Black Woman surprised the living hell out of me.

I knew Hitch was being underpredicted, but even I went too low on that film. It had monster legs for a movie that opened to over $40 million in February. I'm sure most expect Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to make over $100 million, but not many think $200 million is possible. I wouldn't be surprised.

You think The Chronicles of Narnia won't hit 200M? It does have a lot of competition with Potter and Kong. But Potter will be well into it's run by that point, and Kong skews older than Narnia. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Narnia passed 200M with ease.

On the other hand, it may be one of those movies that makes 150M in the US and Canada, and 2-3 times that in the rest of the world.

That's what I'm thinking. Personally, I've never heard of the book (or whatever it was...). And, just like last year, I never knew about the Lemony Snicket's series, and everyone made me go high on my prediction. I'm having a tough time believing that this one is as popular as some believe.

I'd go with a 35/175 run, because it does appeal to kids, and with the holiday season, it should have some great legs.

I would love HP to top the year but it won't. I think that Star Wars will end up on top.
