Indy gets the 5-day record. TDK gets the 3-day record. Wall-E gets the Oscar for Best Picture. Perfect year.

I don't know...theres a side of me that has me do out the numbers by day and they add up to 175...but theres another side that has me thinking bust...i don't know. tracking will me decide; i fear the fanboy in me is inflating my prediction

Re: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Predicts
to me it will open exatcly like ROTS (similar drops and such) and drop 25% Monday...
However, I cannot see over 160 million for the 5-day. Even then I think I am over predicting.

Re: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Predicts
I really have a bad feeling on this one, I had it on Narnia and I have it on this.
I tell you this, if Indy disappoints as a movie (even though it may break records like spider man 3, I think TDK can pull off a DMC...

Re: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Predicts
As big as this will be, I truly see it following a Phantom Menace like run but more frontloaded. The opening weekend will be underwhelming and there may be preliminary what went wrong threads, but it will have legs for much of the summer. TPM was a movie that everyone saw because it was an "event," 16 years in the making. It wasn't a "good" film that merited such long legs.
I'm sure alot of people will be seeing IJ4 at different times too and not just opening weekend, being 19 years since the last one. 20 and 30 somethings around the time of Raiders of the Lost Ark are now 50 and 60 somethings. These are many of the people that drove this franchise to be such a huge success. I feel that the nostalgia factor will work in IJ4 favor for a number of weeks as well, especially with so much room in June, which is full of potential disappointments. IJ4 will have a lengthy run, but slightly underwhelming opening.
$98 m/$410 m

Okay, I am starting to see a lot more hype from younger people as my sister and my cousins want to see it.
All I can say, is a huge opening is to come...

Anything from 250m to 450m for this film now as the wide range with extremes on both sides, but now it seems to be settling towards a mid-300m range.

Re: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Predicts
Final Predictions:
Thursday: $39 million (including midnights, which I think will come to around $7-8 million) Friday: $31.2 million (20% drop; pretty much even with Thursday sans midnights) 3-Day Weekend: $96.7 million (3.1 multiplier) 4-Day Memorial Day Weekend: $118 million 5-Day Total: $157 million Domestic Total: $335 million
Depending upon how huge Dark Knight ends up being, Indy could be the #1 film of the year at the box office.

Re: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Predicts
More and more I'm seeing $400 m for this domestically and $1 billion worldwide. It gets every demographic, will have a huge opening because of Memorial Weekend, but will have the nostalgia factor to give it decent legs, with 50 and 60 somethings being the core demographics that drove the original to such big success.
