I don't think PotC2 will exceed Spider-Man2's multiplier based on its third weekend. With that multiplier, it would stop near $425M. It mighty also stop at $405-410M too, though. In any case, under $400M seems very unlikely, and Shrek 2 seems very safe.

450m+ with a strong chance at 500m if the film can pull 25%-30% from here on with some 20% drops here and there along with a nice increase onver labor day wknd.

there is always a chance

it's up to $358 millions with $140 million to go. it's not totally crazy that a movie opening with $20 million (what DMC did this weekend) grossing $140 million.

It would need a robustly large 7.8 mutiplyer off this wknd to get there with late run legs outstipping even the first pirates flick, which got a 7.0 off the 4th wknd, that means DMC would have to get nothing but sub 20% drops. lets just hope it can top Shrek2s adjusted gross, around 468m

Shrek 2 is safe, unless Disney gives it a re-release or a huge theater boost at some point. Though even then, it might not reach Shrek 2.

It'll finish around $415-420 IMO

They know. But just realize they made this prediction last year sometime. Not 500, but a nice prediction nonetheless.
