Not a good weekend - but look at the films that came out. None of them had any breakout potential and were laughable compared to 2004 and 2005's March opening combo.
Next week should be stronger though:
Shaggy Dog - $34m
Hills Have Eyes - $23m
Failure to Launch - $15m

Small openers lose showtimes on their second Fridays. Often theaters, which are forced to keep the film, will give them only one early or late showtime a day.

You know, I wouldnt be suprised if Hills Have Eyes beats Shaggy dog opening. I think Tim Allen is strong, but this is one good looking horror movie.
