Re: HARRY POTTER 7-1: Deathly Hallows (INTL.)
According to BOM, overseas gross is now at $587m or about $30m above the previous weekend. Should pass $600m by the end of this week easily.
HP7 takes down Inception to become the 3rd largest pic worldwide this year, unfortunately, this is probably where it'll stay. Alice in Wonderland and Toy Story 3 are simply too far in front. This will also be the lowest placing the Potter franchise has had out of all the past 7 installments, it has not once strayed beyond #2 placing, but this is the first time. Though it was a very competitive year and to have two $1billion grossing pics is a first.
However, next year the title is there for the taking again. Only Pirates 4 has the potential to spoil it though i still give the edge to HP7.

Re: HARRY POTTER 7-1: Deathly Hallows (INTL.)
UAE - Weekend 5
Movies tend to be very frontloaded in this region, and Potter is amongst the worst offenders. It had one of the best openings of all-time, though is now languishing below pics like Expendables and Step Up 3-D which had lower openings. The good news is that HP7 already has the franchise lifetime record in the bag.

Re: HARRY POTTER 7-1: Deathly Hallows (INTL.)
With 900m WW total it will be just above GOF. Another 12m-13m should be coming from domestic take and given that it made 11m this weekend with holidays it should be good enough for another 25-30m. I don't see it crossing AWE but it has a good chance to take over OOTP for the #10 WW spot.

Re: HARRY POTTER 7-1: Deathly Hallows (INTL.) - $899.3m (#16
Considering it is not in 3D, that's a terrific overseas performance so far. It could become the 2nd-biggest Harry Potter film worldwide to date. It'll also become the 16th film ever to pass $900 million. Four out of 16 $900+ million WW grossers are Harry Potter films, heh.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire barely missed the mark by $4.1 million.

And this being not in 3D is interesting. Just waiting for the next one when it comes out it will break all the OW records in OS markets (probably domestic as well). Being in 3D it will be the must watch even movie of the *DECADE* as advertised it should easily cross HP1 and would become the 8th movie to cross 1B WW

Re: HARRY POTTER 7-1: Deathly Hallows (INTL.) - $899.3m (#16
$700m OS is pretty much a lock with 3D the champion. I think it can go as high as $800m if the action delivers and they market this well.
$1billion is a lock if it can hit this beyond $700m OS.

Re: HARRY POTTER 7-1: Deathly Hallows (INTL.) - $899.3m (#16
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 added $14.3 million to bring its impressive overseas total to $617.8 million. On Sunday, its worldwide total exceeded $900 million, and it now places 16th on the all-time chart. Among Harry Potter movies, it currently ranks fourth worldwide and overseas, and needs just $36 million more to move in to second place behind Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
====
Holiday definately gave it a boost. Should be at around $630m-635m by the end of this weekend and looks primed for around $645m-650m. If it register even better holds then it might take out HP1's overseas crown as well. We'll see.
Worldwide, HP7-1 takes out HP4 and becomes the 4th Potter to cross $900m. Should finish around $940-950m or just above HP5 and below Pirates 3's $961m.

Re: HARRY POTTER 7-1: Deathly Hallows (INTL.) - $902.8m (#16
It would need superb holds for next 2 straight weeks without holidays to have a chance coming close to HP1, which is highly unlikely. I think most of the markets after holidays will take this off since there isn't much demand for it anyways. Here is Singapore and Malaysia it is left with just countable shows all together.

Hmm, $930 million is almost certain and $940-950 million is somewhat possible.

Re: HARRY POTTER 7-1: Deathly Hallows (INTL.) - $902.8m (#16
NETHERLANDS - Full Week 5
Potter in 5 weeks has already risen to the top of the yearly charts, beating Alice In Wonderland and the first movie to cross $10m since Avatar.
Potter doesn't have the yearly title locked up though with local release "New Kids Turbo" doing extremely well; clocking up $5.6m in 2 weeks with Christmas/NY numbers ahead.

Re: HARRY POTTER 7-1: Deathly Hallows (INTL.) - $902.8m (#16
NETHERLANDS - All-Time (Euros)
Was looking at the latest weekly charts for Netherlands and HP7's total is already up to 9.4m euros post Christmas/NY (as at 05/01/2011). That's quite massive.
It's now broken into the top 20 All-Time charts sitting at #17. Looks to finish around the 10m euros mark and may land anywhere between #16 and #12.
1) Titanic - €23.572.132 (3.405.534 adms - US$25m) 2) Avatar - €18,517,070 (1.721.915 adms.) 3) Lord Of The Rings: ROTK - €15,638,200 (~1.92m adms. - 19th Week) - €5,923,885 (726.219 adms. in 2003) 4) Harry Potter 1: PS - €15.357.620 (2.179.559 adms. - US$13,391,178) 5) Lord of the Rings: FOTR - €14.373.610 (1.894.139 adms. - US$12,812,050) 6) Dances With Wolves - €14,119,111 (1.984.136 adms.) 7 Harry Potter 2: COS - €13.613.080 (1.883.577 adms. - US$13,840,551) 8) Lord of the Rings: TTT - €13.586.566 (1.749.361 adms. - $14,115,677) 9) The Lion King - €13.350.497 (2.562.797 adms.) 10) Harry Potter 6: HBP - €11,337,066 (1.357.884 adms.)

Harry Potter 3: POA - €8,344,474 (1.235.754 adms.)
As i was saying earlier, there's a challenge from a local release.....let's take a look at their totals now after the Christmas/NY period...full week totals
1 - Harry Potter 7-1: DH - $4,492,524 (€3,361,158 or $3,686,25/ €2,757,934 7-Day - 240 TC) 1 - New Kids Turbo (2010) - $2,885,429 (€2,168,354 or $2,699,926/ €2,028,952 7-Day - 89 TC)
2 - Harry Potter 7-1: DH - $6,915,848 (€5,223,389 - $2,423,324/ €1,853,403, -33%) 2 - New Kids Turbo (2010) - $5,588,374 (€4,229,311 - $2,702,945/ €2,060,957, +2%)
3 - Harry Potter 7-1: DH - $8,387,514 (€6,358,835 - $1,471,666/ €1,111,866, -40%)
4 - Harry Potter 7-1: DH - $9,490,671 (€7,193,108 - $1,103,157/ €829,005, -25%) 4 - New Kids Turbo (2010) - €6.911.784 (980.367, -41.8%)
5 - Harry Potter 7-1: DH - $10,340,522 (€7,841,107 - $849,851/ €647,999, -22%)
7 - Harry Potter 7-1: DH - 9.410.772 (543.899, -46.8%)
Gap narrows to just 300k euros after 4 full weeks. Whether New Kids can beat Potter or not will depend on its drops from here on out. Potter 7 had the benfit of holiday drops in Week 6, i still give the edge to Potter at this stage but New Kids is basically a lock for the #2 spot by beating Alice in Wonderland which finished at 7.4m euros.

Your market sucks now It could pass the 6m mark with double features in July... DFs or Triple Features are very popular here and can add up to 300,000 admissions in just one single screening all over the country...

Regardless it would still be treated a re-release and not part of the original tally. Shame on you Germany, BTW - on a side note, happy that Avatar didn't past FOTR in the end. LOL

That seems insanely huge. Must have had terrific weekdays, eh? In that case $650 million is a given as is $940+ million worldwide.
