Poor Paramount. I can't even look at their schedule on BOM cause you need imdb pro now what a bunch of bullshit
A Quiet Place 2 will probably do fine but might have a similar drop like It 2.

It has even beaten Endgame in some European markets !!!! 4th weekend in Germany is also looking like a record for the year ahead of Lion King and Endgame !!!! Italy and Spain as well its going to get close to Endgame if I am not wrong. Even in Mexico its beat Ultron and probably even 1st Avengers movie before end of its run. It broke out almost everywhere. In China though its not releasing, its having insane reviews at Douban. Had it released there it would have grossed like 300m. Its going to finish like 340m Dom and 715m OS for 1.055B WW. I wonder when WB will announce Joker 2.

Bombed big time in China as well losing more than half the gross from Genisis. This is an epic disaster that puts final nail in this franchise's coffin. Cameron will probably try to see a tv series to Netflix or some other platform when he gets the rights back next year. Cameron better worry about the Avatar sequels. Maybe not 2 but certainly 3 and 4. Maybe domestically but I don’t see Avatar sequels making less than $1B OS. They won't miss $1b- at least not the first two. But I guess that's why films like Dark Fate are still made.

Domestically though as awesome as its run has been it will fall short in total of Endgames OW!! Testament to that insane Endgame OW.

Re: Early Friday: ITZ A BOMB
I'm convinced the Terminator franchise has been a money laundering front ever since Salvation.
This needed James Cameron in the director's chair and to also look EXCELLENT in order to have a chance to really succeed. The fact that they spent $200M on it without James Cameron directing, I-
Did they really think that many people cared Linda Hamilton was coming back?
This is much worse than Alien: Covenant because at least that was made for relatively cheap.

A Quiet Place 2 will probably do fine but might have a similar drop like It 2. A Quiet Place 2 won't have John Krasinski so I think you're right. Emily Blunt is a great supporting player but she's just not a true star/draw. Not warm and likeable enough. She plays the "bitch" (Devil Wears Prada) or the "tough girl" (Edge of Tomorrow) really well, but you don't want her as the main character to root for.

Re: Early Friday: ITZ A BOMB
So joker domestic 13.9m and WW 934m. Sensational OS hold. Will cross 1B in 2 weeks. As I said earlier should cross 1.05B and may be even beat TDKR to end up as 2nd biggest movies among dc movies.

Re: Early Friday: ITZ A BOMB
Looks like Maleficent may get to around 500m WW. It's looking at a similar overseas total as the first.

Great for Harriet. With an A+ cinemascore and 98 audience score this movie could be looking at a healthy run.

Re: Early Friday: ITZ A BOMB
29 for Dark Fate, and 124 OS. Better multiplier but Genysis will probably be the best case scenario, and maybe 300 OS.
155 budget and 380 WW won't be enough to keep going unless they really drop the budget and go grittier with Hamilton and the girl in the early future battles, and they really should. They can't reboot this thing again. Salvation did 370 WW on a 200 million budget 10 years ago. So I guess that is the goal.

I mean... I really doubt it grosses more than 50mil in the states. It'll won't outgrow Salvation

Dark Fate is not getting to 300M WW. Let alone overseas.

Re: Early Friday: ITZ A BOMB
OS weekend was like 73m. It would be lucky to do another 100m with atrocious WOM it is having. Most markets where it opened last week it just tanked. China its not even number 1 !!!!!

But in a world where Craptain Marvel gets good wom, that is not surprising. I was probably exaggerating. Most probably audience did not care about another Terminator movie. I agree Captain Marvel was bad. I was bored and Brie lacked charisma as well. I think the Endgame hype pulled in numbers for this movie. Watch the sequel drop quite a bit both domestic and OS.
