Yeah, I don't see the eighth Batman movie with the sixth actor to play him becoming the highest grossing Batman film of all time. I could only see this happen if Joker becomes an absolute phenomenon and appeared in this movie too.

The 4th actor, and 7th movie was the highest grossing one.

That was the culmination of a franchise. Not a standalone film with another new Batman. zwack's point stands.

That had some of the best WOM of all time.

I highly doubt this reboot will be as fresh or well received as that trilogy.

And your reasoning is...? Remember, prior to that point Nolan had only written and directed 3 "studio" films, it was following a $200 mil Batman film, and was only now 2 films removed from Batman & Robin and Batman Forever.

Reeves has also written and directed 2 "studio" films (with a higher RT % than Nolan), and will be following a $330 mil Batman film.

This will be a solid hit - especially if its good and well reviewed (which I think it can be). I guess $400-450m domestically isn't too far a stretch.

He can't even put a sentence together.

I think it's a bad idea, especially since Affleck was really solid, just given horrible films. My favorite rumor is to make a Batman Beyond with Keaton playing older Bruce Wayne. Now that's a rumor I can get behind. At this point they are wisely staying away from the universe.

Apparently this still isn't done and theyre finalizing it between him and Hoult :zonks:

would be a huge mistake for wb to have let the rumor linger if they go elsewhere, Pattinson was very well received news

it is a action movie with plot twists like inception and potential time travel as well. I am sure hype for bats would be ridiculous after that. Next comic con we should see Reeves/Battinson for sure. Would they be there this year. I would skip it as its so far away.

Riddler Penguin Catwoman Mad Hatter Firefly and Two Face are supposedly all here. Given that Reeves have emphasized the mystery aspect it, seems certain its following the long halloween/dark victory eras

Or Arkham Asylum. But it’d be weird to cast Pattinson as a Batman who has already defeated his entire rogues gallery.

The Dark Knight already took most of the best parts from Long Halloween though.
