 Re: December 18-22 predictions Saw the Saving Mr. Banks trailer in front of Philomena yesterday. I'd seen it before but this just reiterated my feeling that I can't see it having a whole lot of appeal to mainstream audiences. It may be a crowd pleaser so legs will no doubt be great, but getting people in the seats could be challenging. I think it will open below 8 Million this upcoming weekend. Total gross will probably fall in the 60-75 Million range. Do not see it being a 100 Million hit at all.

I think it will see a solid opening and if it wasn't the weekend before Christmas it would be higher. Most people will be waiting until Christmas and after to get to the movies.

5. Saving Mr. Banks - Must Go! Not bad for Saving Mr. Banks. Very nice for American Hustle. Though it helps both that they're already playing in limited release. Nobody gives a damn about Walking With Dinosaurs  .
