I totally see the comparison.

That's a great start for The Best Man Holiday. With good WOM among its target audience I don't see how it CANNNOT have legs. I don't see it getting $100m though it could come close. We rarely see $100m and even though this one being a sequel will be frontloaded the opening it huge enough for it and the WOM will help it a bit as well.

Thor did decent. Among the holdovers Captain Phillips wins the weekend and great for Last Vegas as well, if it had a bigger opening there was a chance for $100m with holidays. Jackass will get to $100m even with competition....such a great run for it, specially given the Jackass movies are frontloaded. Not so good for Ender's Game which should collapse even further next weekend, its sad cause I liked it a bit more than Thor.
