Ofcourse the WOM does impact big movies and taking the small ratio from Asian markets (which could help these type of movies) a LOT of people didn't go to it because the reviews were outright pathetic.

Even with China, it'll barely crawl past $200 million overseas.

It was actually saved by its good legs in Japan. If it can repeat same success in China then $200m should be easy IMO.

Saw that coming, with Australia still to come, should pass 225 with no problem. Probably will just miss out on 300 WW though.

Wow HUGE opening! I thought it would just crawl past $200m now it looks like China alone can get it to $225m (again I am assuming this was a 3-day weekend and not the total of 7 days that generally gets reported for China).

Hmm....With 4 days it might make another $10m this week for a close to $215m total. I think $225m is happening and then Australia is opening this week.

The openings overall have been HUGE. The goodwill from the last movie had a major contribution. Only if this movie was good we could have seen Fast Five level of OS increase IMO.

I am assuming the rest $6.3m came from Australia or maybe $6m and $0.3m from some small holdovers.

Pretty good that it got $225m OS though it won't get to $250m with that Australian opening.

Big drop this weekend. It had bigger openings almost everywhere which makes me believe the last one would had really positive impact with OS audience. If this was any good then it could have reached $400m-$450m WW IMO.

That's why I posted it in here. Someone mentioned worldwide, which it also will not beat TE2 in.

What's the current worldwide total for EX2? Because if I go by BOM, then Die Hard 5 is beating it soon.

Please do not believe BOM for TE2's total. They stopped tracking when it hit $300m.

It's at $312m worldwide at my last check but I've not got every market either, so I imagine around $315m or so.

Die Hard 5 ain't beating that.

I believe the same markets where BOM didn't track TE2 it wouldn't track DH5 as well though I didn't track TE2 that much to know which markets were not taken in consideration.

Problem is, we'll never know. Maybe DH5 is not tracked precisely either? On BOM it will be ahead of EX2.

Fox distributed DH5, so the BOM number will be more accurate to its real WW total.

No big deal that DH5 will be ahead of TE2 on BOM.
