Sadly though, I feel you are correct with the domestic gross, although TE2 grossed more in opening than The A-Team and that managed to get $77m. I'm going with $255m WW. A third movie would really need to change the formula a tad, add in current star draws, and not be so depressing in its marketing. Re: The Expendables 2 (INTL) China gave $31m OS. I am still giving it a $10m increase overall. I don't see it doing better than that cause the legs wont be as good as the last one IMO.

Re: The Expendables 2 (INTL) I think it's safe to say that TE2 was the #1 movie worldwide this week. It grossed $22.5m internationally by my reckoning, beating TDKR which had $21.4m. It opened #1 in most markets apart from Argentina and maybe the UK, which seems odd as it was popular before.
Good start, not brilliant. Lets hope for second weekend totals that put it in a better light. Should be at $100m WW by that time.

Well, you are lowballing for sure. I would say your prediction is the low end. High end would be $280m. The goal is $274m though, for obvious reasons.

Russia, Mexico and France already look to be bigger and apparently there is a lot of buzz for it in China. So we'll keep our fingers crossed.

Re: The Expendables 2 (INTL) Hi Baumer. $200m internationally is definitey within reach. Even with disappointing markets like the UK and Netherlands so far. I don't know about the buzz in China, but I'll certainly be adding 10 ticket admissions to the pot, ha. I just hope that date is true.
I knew France would be well. The French fans have been digging this return. Russia and Mexico are purely down to the market expanding over the past few years, like China. Interesting one will be Japan for me, I hope they do promo there again.

Re: The Expendables 2 (INTL) I think I have to accept that it's heading for $70m tops in the USA. It opened only $7m shy of the first, but it's going to finish about $30m short of the first one in the end. Amazing really how well the first one performed. So if it makes $200m overseas, then its WW total will look identical to the first one. What it lost in one, it gained in another, and nothing changed.
