Final Destination 3 made $7,120,000, and ended with a $19.2M weekend....why can't Silent Hill make over $20M, after having a friday, $1M higher?

Nice for Silent Hill. Should break $20 million this weekend and $50 million total.
The Sentinel did well. Not great considering the star-power and all, but right around where Firewall opened. I think it should make around $45-50 million total.

Entire weekend is pathetic. not a single top 10 movie is going to have even a 7,500 pta. That means no one even bothered getting themselves into the seats. Snakes on a Plane should have opened this weekend, while the buzz on it was still rabid, and clearly there was zero competition.
Does someone have information on the limited releases? Maybe they were more exciting?

I wouldn't call this weekend pathetic by any means. The box office is up 23% from last year, and although the top film will only be in the low 20s, second and third place should make over 30 million combined. That's over 50 million in the top three alone, hardly something to scoff at. I think it's just that the last few weekends have been extremely good and made an above average April weekend like this seem a bit less special.

SM4 is now at 5.8 according to BOM, that should put it over 13 by tomorrow so I think 19 is the absolute minimum. Thats a very good hold for Scary Movie 4. Sentinal did expected, Douglas wasnt in a mediocre film in over 5 years.
