Brilliant move by the anti kong fanboys. This is undoubtedly a fake article/quote. For one, it discredits the movie by associating it with a director that isn't thought highly of today. On top of that, when the movie "only" pulls out 70, they actually say that some people were expecting "numbers as large as 150!!". It's win-win!

Stop.. Put the joint out and consider for a moment who it is director wise that isn't thought highly of today.. Who?? George Lucas?? Who doesn't think highly of him?? The LOTR fanboys??? I'd say Lucas is very highly respected today and no reason really why he shouldn't be.. Brilliant quote from an Anti-Lucas fanboy such as yourself.. Bottom line: The movie could POSSIBLY do 150 Million in 3 days, anything is POSSIBLE and it's not insulting to anyone the way your reading so much into this and Lucas is right: Rarely do movies like this get nominated or win BEST PICTURE.. BEST FX?? For sure, even if some of the FX could've used some work and look less rushed..

I'm beginning to think this film is gonna to open very very big. I'm in Oklahoma and I'm feeling a "hidden" buzz for this film. I got a ticket to a preview Tonight, so I'll report but when I got my ticket the radio guy was giving a choice between Kong tickets, Yours Mine and Ours tickets and Hockey tickets. Most people who got to have a choice went with King Kong and it wasn't a "oh I'll take King Kong" it was "I Want King Kong" type responses. Just a little vibe I was getting.

I'm gonna go 85 3 day, 120 5 day opening.
