Also, 2015-2017 ufotable's digital effects are far better than anything else in its era, as well as almost anything in 2020 and 2021.
Maybe their hand-drawn effects are better, but their trademark skill is still their digital effects. That's why even if they sometimes went overboard with their past works, those scenes are still far better and beautiful compared to modern series nowadays.

I'll post the National Foundation Day estimates (big day) here shortly if I don't pass out from my new skunk-peppermint-citrus-vanilla-coconut-vinegar scented house first.

It's possible.

It's been having week-to-week declines each day of ~10% or less almost every day since early/mid-January (I don't think any regular day has been over 20%), including several days that have been relatively flat or down just a couple percent that could ultimately have been up days. The current dailies are only down around 25/30% versus 4 weeks ago.

An increase here or there, including over the weekends, can certainly be achieved at some point.

That seems pretty impressive for the Conan recap movie.

$370 million is looking more and more likely. A fairly sudden decline would be needed, but as we've seen over the past 4 months now, any sudden decline has never happened and expecting one now is unreasonable.

$380 million (or ¥40 billion) has sort of been the final goal since late-December or so. It'll just take some time, perhaps getting around that mark sometime in April.

Apologies for no Weekend Forecast today. I've been really busy dealing with Final Destination: Skunk for the past couple of days now.

There was a large earthquake (7.3) off the coast of Fukushima last night (just 3 hours ago). People are reporting that it could be felt for 30 seconds. I haven't read all the details of the damage yet, but have seen that millions are without power and many roads and railways have been closed off. Landslides are also likely being reported, no doubt.

First, hopefully everyone in the affected areas are safe. Second, this may weaken the box office a bit this weekend. And yes, this is very close to the epicenter of 2011's Great Tohoku Earthquake (9.1, 4th largest ever recorded) that left 16,000 dead and resulted in the level 7 nuclear disaster in Fukushima. Eerily, the 10th anniversary of that tragedy is just a few weeks away.

No damage to the nuclear reactors in Fukushima has been reported, thankfully. Seeing a lot of images and videos of destroyed roads and large-scale landslides though.

And the country's improved alarm system worked well in alerting people in Tokyo (~150 miles from Fukushima) at least 45-seconds in advance of the incoming quake.

I haven't seen any deaths reported, which is amazing. Several dozen injuries though, but could have been worse. Also haven't see much in terms of structural damage, but not too surprising there since Japan has largely mastered quake-resistant architecture. I don't even recall any serious structural damage back in 2011. Even the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant was largely safe from the quake itself, until the near 50-foot tsunami that was triggered swept over the seawall which caused the nuclear disaster.

And last night's earthquake was actually an aftershock from 2011's Great Tohoku Earthquake.

Woah, really shows how much Japan has evolved when there's no death reported from a massive 7.3 earthquake.
I'm happy that no one died.

Will anyone summarize Demon Slayer event today? Though the only key point is that the sequel will be TV series broadcast in this year.

The red light district arc has 30 chapters. So season 2 will be 10-12 eps???? Too short....

That sounds about right. It really depends if they just have the RLD arc for the first pv, then 12 episodes in, they'll release another pv for swordsmith village arc. Just like how they did with the Natagumo arc in season 1.

Though another route they could do is just have a break season in-between. Making season 2 a 2-cour season.
That's what they did with their other 24-26 episodes series.
