It's ridiculous to see 2012 in the top 10 of something all-time.

Especially if you keep in mind that it was not a sequel and was not aided by IMAX or 3D at all.
It's actually the fourth-biggest non-sequel ever overseas.
It was just the right release at the very right time.

It was just the right release at the very right time. International audiences were starving for ablockbuster and action picture to sink their teeth and eyes into. Shame the movie was so shit.

It would have done even better with better exchange rates and if it half-decent.
Easily could have had a billion dollar film there, but I doubt the producers are complaining.

$100+ million would be amazing this weekend. Passing Titanic's worldwide gross in six weeks...wow!
Seriously, what is its shot at topping $2.5 billion WW?

Hmm, I don't think $3 billion can happen. At all. I mean that'd mean an extra $1+ billion from now on with zero new markets.

Oscars mostly affect the domestic performance. The effect in overseas markets is way smaller and it seems like by then everyone and their mother will already have seen the film.

BALLS Hmm, it was at $1.193B before the weekend on BOM? Must be that whole confusion from the markets that include Thursday in their weekends.
