So it's a total lock for UK and Germany. Last weekend the country was in the middle of the worst snowfall in 30 years so a soft drop was what i was expecting this weekend. I was not expecting it to bloody increase!!! It's at £49.4m if that total is right. This puts it at around 14/15 on the all time chart in £'s depending on actuals. It needs another £20m from here to top Mammia Mia *shudder* and top the all time list... coming off a £5.4m weekend and posting strong weekdays... it actually has a decent shot at it

Last film to hit 60 million was Transformers I think... It's already #1 in admissions, though USD$ conversion was weaker than when T1 played so it may be slightly behind/

If estimate holds that's €6.6m = $9.5m in two days... 9.5M seems great to me, but I could be wrong I haven't been tracking Italy's past records how much will it make by end of weekend and how does it fair in the all time openers? What is the prediction and how does that fair will all time totals? That's already bigger all but around 10 or so movies did on opening, and many had more than 3 daus to play

Last film to hit 60 million was Transformers I think... Yes, Korea's total is at 78.25bn KRW now. Considering the exchange rate, it would be $68-70m. Avatar is already no.1 for a foreign release and also will be the first foreign film that is going to crack 10m admissions . Since I don't know exactly how much money was grossed from releases in US dollar, i will be glad if this list is helpful to you All time South Korea (Admissions) 1. The Host (Korea, 2006) 13,019,740 2. King And The Clown (Korea, 2005) 12,302,831 3. TaeGukGi (Korea, 2004) 11,746,135 4. Haeundae (Korea, 2009) 11,397,097 - out 5. Silmido (Korea, 2003) 11,081,000 6. Friend (Korea, 2001) 8,181,377 * Transformers2 (7,437,612) * Transformers (7,437,443) * Lord of the rings : ROTK (5,960,000) * Mission Impossible3 (5,740,789) * 2012 (5,394,292) * Lord of the rings : TTT (5,183,000) * Pirates of the Carribbean3 (4,966,571) * Spider-man3 (4,935,660) Quite a jump from #7 positions to #5 isn't it. something like 2m+ admissions. Which is huge/

Oh, it is also very hard for me to write in English!! If it doesn't matter that i use bad grammar or ridiculous words and sentences, i will consider! Avatar consolidated its international juggernaut status by crossing the $1bn mark on Friday [January 15] and set a new industry launch record in Italy, the final territory, on $14.5m from 925.
After 13 days in China Avatar has become the biggest release of all time, after adding a further $18.9m from 2,509 screens following the record opening week to stand at $76.6m.
Fox International sources said overall box office fell 18% as James Cameron’s space opera remained active on 14,640 screens in 112 markets, holding on to the number one spot in most.
There was a new all-time industry record in South Korea, too, where in its fifth weekend Avatar added $4.7m from 530 to reach $69.4m.
Elsewhere the film grossed $10.3m in France from 1,076 for a spectacular $113.9m running total. It added $9.2m in Germany from 853 for $85.6m, and $8.8m in the UK from 759 after a 14% rise for $80.5m. There's no way it's not hitting $100m now in China, even with massive screen lost. the demand is definately there.

No way it makes less than $640 million domestically now or less than $1.6 billion OS. I mean it'll probably hit $1.25 billion OS by the end of the next weekend.
