With Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong actuals now, the worldwide gross is ¥24.951Bn. Will need Singapore to gross ¥49mn or $515k to cross ¥25Bn by Sunday, if not it has already crossed that with morning show in Japan itself.

Re: Japan Box-Office: Demon Slayer Obliterating Record Books
There are a lot of shows that sellout here in Singapore and ticket prices are much HIGHER, I fully expect DS to earn $601K (~810K SGD) by end of first week but given that the movie just released in the market I don't think it would have made that much as of now.

Re: Japan Box-Office: Demon Slayer Obliterating Record Books
Cool, thank you. This is mostly because ¥30.4 billion ($249 million), not ¥30.8 billion, was the official final total total for a long time until mid-2016 when it was updated to the ¥30.8 billion figure. It just happened that fall when people were (myself included) were following Your Name., but no one on 5ch really knows when it occurred except over the summer at some point. It's speculated that it received a small, limited re-release over the Summer since it was the 15th anniversary of the film, it just never appeared in any weekly rankings. But ¥400 million could still be achieved over, say, two months of very low, but consistent earnings. This is the only case of a re-release, if that's what it was, being added to an original run to my knowledge. I never added that $4 million from this to its total (thus giving it $253 million); or rather, I've just forgotten all this time. LPLC wrote: The total by Sunday is $222,4M or $222,8M ? $222.4 million (or approx. since I round). The total was higher than estimated due to stronger weekdays, so it entered the weekend higher by $1 million ($207.9 million versus $206.9 million), but earned $0.2 million less with its weekend actual versus its weekend estimate, therefore accounting for the $0.8 million difference between the estimated total of $221.6 million and the actual total of $222.4 million.

JustLurking wrote: Monday looking great. Indeed. Not only is it an excellent sub-15% drop versus last Monday, it's still so high that its fifth Monday is higher than the first Monday of all the recent uber-blockbusters in the past several years. And it's higher than a lot of opening days for your standard blockbusters.

@Corpse, From this Monday to next week's holiday Monday we could see an increase of what degree? 150% / 200%?
And could Demon Slayer hit ¥26 billion by next Monday?

And could Demon Slayer hit ¥26 billion by next Monday? It depends on how the weekend plays out, but it should come pretty close to doubling today's number next Monday. I'm working on the weekly projection now, so stay tuned. ¥26 billion on next Monday is sort of 50/50 right now. It just depends on how the weekdays, and especially the weekend, play out. But it could, but it might not.

Looks like 45% seat decline this weekend, from 1.06m to ~0.58m, any idea on the weekend drop and 2-day admission winner?

Wonder Woman and HP3 with July 4 holiday, Paul Blart on president’s day. Highest 5th Monday with none of that seems to be finding Nemo with 2.522 (summer), if the weekdays get adjusted up again with actuals DS should take it.
