It will most likely be with the SB. Failing that - it will definitely have to be with Black Panther (which makes sense). I suspect we'll see a TV spot with SB and a full trailer with BP. I believe Disney are purposely holding off to distance this film from Last Jedi's release.

If it doesn't get any of the above - then it looks like its release will be pushed back.

Let's put Solo on GMA with 8 million viewers.

I mean, there has to be some teaser during the SB which will have 40 pregame and 90 game time. This film needs it. Whatever

I'd say there would have to be a surprise teaser during the SB and a trailer the next day... and then the trailer can play in front of $400m worth of Black Panther showings!!

Cannot find it now but I just saw something on my Facebook feed about a Solo SB spot.

Still the marketing in this seems muted in comparison. And yes these movies don't really need much marketing at this point but still...

May is gonna be a bit of a blood bath with Infinity War, DP and Solo all opening but keen to see how it pans out.

Yeah going by everything I've seen it sounds like Disney is planning to still do a 30 second SB that announces the full trailer premiering on GMA. I honestly don't know if there is any other way they could have kick started the marketing for this considering how late in the game it is, but if that new IW footage does indeed drop than its probably going to get overshadowed anyways. Having the trailer come out a day should help it more though.

There is just the sense that Disney is trying to dump this movie which is weird because this had the biggest potential to start a new trilogy in SW universe.

That looked so crap and Disney are clearly afraid of the backlash so decided not to show Solo in his own film's teaser.

With so many Star Wars films, every element is no longer special. Ooh, a lightsaber duel. Who cares. Ooh, the Star Wars theme. Who cares.

This is going to be the biggest SW failure of the franchise.

With the competition its facing (and in general other movies are having) its not going to have great legs though the opening will be big for sure.

Think we might have Disney's first big fail here. I can just see huge fan divide, mediocre reviews, and a total below $300m.

I do not think competition will be a factor. It has three weekends to itself in terms of new releases. Nothing really going to affect it much. But it is being released into a marketplace where Infinity War and Deadpool 2 are out. I think big movies co-exist all the time. Where this film will die is if the fanbase turns on it, and I predict they will.

Whatever the floor for Star Wars is, this will hit it. Probably sub 400m.

Thank god for that final moments otherwise this didn't even look like an SW movie and I can understand this is a prequel but still that was a poor introduction.

I love it even more this is going to be a huge hit.
