Honestly, my projection of 8.5 million seemed "ambitious" a while back, but I am now thinking something along the lines of 8.8-9 million. I think it will remain in the Top 10 until the beginning of July!

According to BOM, it is at $312,200,000 worldwide now. A $400+ million total seems like a near-certainty.

Re: INTOUCHABLES (INTL) $322.5m and counting...
Well, it dropped below 100,000 for the first time, in its 16th weekend!
At the same time, however, it is still in the Top 5, up one spot to #4. It is also the 13th-biggest film ever in Germany box-office-wise and the 29th-biggest since 1968 admissions-wise.
It should pass 8 million admissions by the end of the next weekend, even if the weater hurts it.
With very little competition in June, I see a scenario in which it might remain in the Top 10 until July which would give it pretty much six months in the Top 10. Either way, I don't see how it could miss a 8.8 million admissions total at the moment with open air cinema playing it throughout the summer. That'd be enough for it to enter the all-time Top 20. It has got a good shot at 9 million admissions too.

Re: INTOUCHABLES (INTL) $322.5m and counting...
It will be released by Gaga in Japan this September (no date yet, though).
Gaga is an independent distributor, though they've been having more success than some major studios the past few years (largely due to Toho squashing everyone).
The film won't be grossing any significant amount like it has in other countries, but with the box office success and critical acclaim the film has had worldwide so far, I think interest will be there where it could pull in respectable numbers.

Very mixed reports from first day in Russia. Nearly sold out shows in some theaters and well below average in others. Also very bad time for shows in many theaters, particularly in regions.

I am still convinced it is hitting 8.8 million admissions here at least.

This movie is doing suprisingly well in Poland. I wouldn't be suprised if it managed to reach 500k admission in the end.

After 18 weekends the movie is sitll in the Top 5 here. It is impossible to describe this kind of success and longevity. I don't think we have seen that in the past ten years.
I mean in the US, that'd put it at #6 for the longest streak in the Top 5 ever. I am pretty sure it'll drop out of the Top 5 next weekend which will see three relatively strong releases.
However, don't be surprised if it makes back into the Top 5 in June during the EC. 9,000,000 keeps looking more and more probable.

Distributor dropped a ball on this one. The movie leaked online in February (!) and was downloaded from #1 torrent Rutracker.org for 337,000 times since then. Billy is right - there was no advertising, and yet WOM worked really well, except didn't bring any money. Making this kind of films available on official sites ASAP may be a much better strategy. Clearly a case of no reason to pay for a ticket.

But I really doubt they made a lot of money from this.

Which means they were over 2 months behind torrents - and I said ASAP. What I suggest is to focus on Internet release, make it early and advertise it really well, as they are directly competing with torrents. I doubt they made a lot of money from theatrical release either.
