I was referring to the IM. X2 had a 2.75 IM its first weekend.

Well, it didn't have 10pm shows the day before either.

Well, it didn't have 10pm shows the day before either.


According to crowd reports, those showings didn't do well anyways. And I'm sure X2 had midnight shows, which probably did a lot better than M:I-3's 10pm showings did.

Yes, but it didn't do well all day. So, equally poorly equals the same impact it would have as a hit.

One other thing... I just don't think Tom Cruise is THAT big of a draw. Certainly nowhere near the level of say Will Smith. I mean, it's not like this is the first time he's had a big blockbuster that had everything going for it but to the shock of the entire forum, had a soft opening despite great reviews and 60-70+ million predictions (Minority Report). One could argue that was boosted by big summer legs, but it also opened a good 10 million lower then MI3 will (15 million if it exceeds expectations).
