Our best original song category only had 3 nominees this year, but in a way that was fine since it allowed the 3 that deserved it a better chance to shine without any silly songs about vaginoplasty drawing attention away.

Sure, writing an original song might be a bit more difficult, but placing a non original song in the absolute perfect part of the film takes talent too and thus the invention of this category.
