I feel like this is a bad idea since I know the general consensus about them here, but what are your thoughts on Mumford & Sons?

I've been listening to their two CDs and the live Red Rocks CD pretty much steadily for the last few weeks. I don't know, they really clicked with me. I can't say I dislike anything they've done so far.

Start the hate.

Not heard it before, but I liked the banjo atmosphere. Nice song. I guess I downloaded a live version because it went on for 12 minutes.

It was good, not heard it before either.

Also good.

I'd say "yay" for Mumford and Sons. I know I have heard one of their songs before, just can't think where. I've checked all my soundtracks and nothing. I thought that I may have heard them on a Twilight soundtrack or something.

Yay from me.

I know the criticism that all there stuff sounds the same....but whatever I like it.

Lol. I suppose it does all sound the same, but I also don't care and like it.

Not the first time you've said that, and it's still not funny either.

You don't know me by now. Not much I say is funny, no matter how hard I try. :tears:

Actually, I'm not sure if you've said that before. I get you and Magnus mixed up. You probably have said that before anyway, though.

I'm not sure I've ever been mixed up for Magnus before. Also not sure how he'd take that. I'm pretty sure on "poorly".

They have abruptly and completely abandoned their roots-tinged sound:

Yeah, this could be literally anyone. But knowing it is still them, I do like it.

I thought they were a load of retards making noise in the tent next door, but it turned out they were just terrible and I threw my bottle at them.

I knew a change was coming after reading about third album plans after their tour ended in 2013, but it's still a shock. But a good shock. I like the song.

I suppose I am going to be one of those annoying morons that says "I prefer their early work" for every single band out there just to appear like they know music...but really, I do prefer their early work if this is their new sound because now they really just sound like everyone else.

I don't disagree. But I like the Mumford and Sons tinge to it.
