Ironically, Simpson chose not to use a background track (tipically used by artists in large-scale, live events). However, choosing to sing live didn't work out for Ashlee in the end. A very obvious chorus of boos could be heard throughout the Orange Bowl in Miami as the fireworks erupted, and Simpson's song came to an end Tuesday night.

Simpson's vocals were the talk of the town after her 'Milli-Vanilli' antics were exposed on Saturday Night Live in the Fall of 2004. Simson first blamed the incident on her band, only to later use acid reflux as the culprit.

A lot of people are saying her career might be done after her debacle last night, on New Year's Eve, and on SNL. I wouldn't want to touch her career with a ten foot pole right now.

I don't think it is totally over, but this is definitely going to do some damage to her career.
