There was a similar situation a few years ago with Ed Sheeran (zero noms for Divide or "Shape of You" ) but that was during a #GrammysSoWhite Backlash which eventually lead to Bruno Mars taking home the top prizes. Neither Ed nor his fans made a big deal about it for obvious reasons. Without an excuse of Wokeness though? AND during the year where they (the secret comittee) were supposed to be more transperent, nominate what the 1200 members actually voted for and not just carve out random spots for their friends and label mates? It's not a good look.

But again, that Album of the Year is still the most prestigious award in the industry and until someone else steps up, the Nomination Committee with keep up with nonsense like this.

I mean if this leads to a Dua Lips sweep imma be ok.

But I swear to God if I hear Folklore taking AOTY I will scream

Nothing against Everything I Wanted, it is solid, but of course it was going to be a weird downer moment to end the show.

The Weeknd and everyone else who is upset now have one year to come up with a better awards ceremony. Will they do it? Or just keep complaining about not being nominated? Frank Ocean's boycott has accomplished a whole lot of nothing so far.

Since Taylor was basically rewarded for Folkore and Evermore I wouldn't mind seeing her left out next year. Adele's album will be called 44 by the time we finally hear it, and I don't think Billie will release anything new unless her third album is near ready. So hopefully we get some new blood, that is black, and we can stop talking about #GrammysSoRacist and instead go back to talking about how great Taylor Swift is.

How the fuck was WAP allowed at the grammys? That had to be the raunchiest performance on an awards show. Basically half the song was censored and it was the cleanest version yet.
