Kind of sad Nelly's album is doing worse than Carly's. Watched about half of that video and was kind of eh about it.

Nelly waited too long for a follow up from Loose. Now nobody cares. And her material isn't good this time either.

I don't know how poorly Nelly's album is doing, but Carley's debut album is projected to sell a dismal 30-40,000. That can't be much better.

^Well at least Carly is projected to be in the top 10. Nelly doesn't even have a projected sale prediction so it'll probably be low since it's really low on iTunes.

If CRJ can bounce back from Kiss, maybe even have modest success from it, she needs to do a second (third, if you count Tug of War) album that has more heart and soul and less fluff. That's not even her if you know her from Canadian Idol or Tug of War, but obviously she wanted to continue with the worldwide success. She has to hope for a few individual hits now.

I think her label waited too long to release the album. Call Me Maybe was released (in the US) in February and became very popular just a couple months later. Everyone who liked the song already downloaded it by the time the album was released.

Call Me Maybe was such a cultural zeitgeist that Carly Rae Jepsen was doomed to be a one-hit wonder the minute it was popular. I guess Good Time has done relatively well, but...

She did brought a 100% pure pop album something that's nice.
