Post Re: Democratic Primary 2020: On to the VP hunt

What is happening in Georgia? The governor there has cancelled a state supreme court special election to fill the seat of a justice who has expressed intention to resign this November, before his six-year term expires in December (interesting! Can't he wait a month longer?). Then the gov is going to appoint someone to serve on the bench until 2022, two extra years after the current term expires. There will be no election in November for the next judicial term. Sounds undemocratic and cheating to me.

Arizona may go blue for senate AND President - which would make Wisconsin irrelevant

The worst person Biden can pick is Gretchen. She would fire up the right so hard like reverse 2008 Pallin.

Eh, hardly anyone outside of Michigan knows who she is, and she's extremely popular in Michigan.

Trump is spreading false information about voting.

Ohio, a state led by Republicans, has had absentee vote-by-mail for years. Why didn't Trump call it "illegal"?

I am not sure fair elections will exist if this kind of disinformation and intimidation campaign keeps coming from the top of the government.

100% chance it is either Kamala, Warren, or Abrams.

"You Ain't Black" is one of Biden's most embarrassing moments of the year... and that's saying something

"Don't take black votes for granted" is my advice to Biden. Show humility towards people/voters.

Meanwhile, Trump has times and times again shown no concern for people.

This was one occasion where Trump ignored the benefits of diagnostic testing for people's health. Early detection of the virus saves people's lives. He only cared about the optics (more cases, fewer cases).

Certainly no Ann Coulter fan, but she's been attacking/criticizing Trump all morning on twitter (over a dozen tweets now) and it's amusing.

That might be a wrap for Klobuchar now that she's going to get heat for not prosecuting George Floyd's killer or other law enforcement in Minnesota.

The Klo hate will end in 2 seconds; the murderer cop didn't do anything wrong in that incident - he killed a guy who had stabbed 2 people before leasing police on a violent chase.

That said...she shouldn't be the VP.

If Trump hates social media's censorship so much, why doesn't he just leave it.

“the murderer....didn’t do anything wrong”

He's referring to the previous incident

Twitter didn't even censor the baby. They just marked two tweets with an educational notice. Kind of like how a middle-school teacher does with their students homework to correct them, except that your average 12-year-old student is a lot more mature about it than the President in this case.

Unfortunately, the recent civil unrest will all but guarantee Biden picks either Harris or Abrams. Harris I flat out don't like, and I'm not sold on Abrams ability to do the job. Fortunately it ultimately doesn't matter because neither is worse than Trump.

I'm just praying for Warren, that way when Biden steps down, she'll be President. Then it should be an easy re-election in 2024.

Warren would be amazing but the black community is being open about wanting a black woman, which is kind of lame on their behalf and obviously discriminatory against white women, but that's life.

I think Abrams would be BY FAR the better campaigner of her and Kamala, so I guess I'd pick her. GOP will rip on experience but not like that stopped Barrack...

Biden picks Warren. Biden steps down. Warren picks Abrams. All problems solved.

I know we have short attention spans, but I'm pretty sure that Joe Budden could beat Trump at this point. And then he'd take our economy and pump it up.

Post Re: Democratic Primary 2020: On to the VP hunt
Biden is absolutely crushing the handling of these crises from a tone and messaging perspective & it couldn't be providing a starker contrast to Trump.

The rich, white, powerful Democratic nominee for Present of USA bluntly declaring "George Floyd's life matters as much as mine" is an epic line that he should use repeatedly.

It is kind of incredible how literally Biden represents the sum of selfless empathy and genuine outrage while Trump just defines selfish entitlement. The contrast is being laid bare for everyone to see. It is hard to see how Trump overcomes this if it continues like this into the summer.

Trump and his administration will try to blame Biden for the violence in the protests. Don't take the bait, stay on with the healing messages.

The outrage with this case is possibly the largest of all the big cases since the Trayvon Martin thing back in 2012 caused this to blow up. Everybody has had more than enough of this shit.

If Biden picks Stacey Abrams in this environment, he will win in an epic landslide.

For all the talk of "he's out of it", he certainly doesn't seem like it when he is talking:

IF Biden does pick a black woman, I feel that Val Demings is a better choice than Stacy Abrams. I just don't think Abrams fits that VP position very well, and would be better unitized in other ways for the campaign.
