A few days from landfall. Trump said earlier today that, "it's tremendously big, and tremendously wet", so be careful everyone -- this one isn't small, nor is it dry. |

Typhoon Mangkhut is the worst one to hit Japan in 25 years. Some of the videos make it look like their buildings are made of paper. |

Did you mean Typhoon Jebi? It hit Japan last week. Typhoon Mangkut is the Cat 4/5 level storm that's about to pummel the Philippines, before aiming for Taiwan and Hong Kong, it appears. |

He also said Hurricane Maria was not a real catastrophe when over half of the population in Puerto Rico was without power for days. Hard to count on someone like that for reliable information. |

The Hong Kong Observatory has issued T10, the highest typhoon signal, since 9:40pm ET. This means that winds with mean speeds of 118 kilometers per hour or more are expected. I can imagine Algren having a lot of fun riding the waves.  I hope everyone around the world bracing the storm and rain is alright. |

I'm not in Hong Kong. In Shenzhen, the typhoon was downgraded from Super to Strong. It's just rain and wind here, nothing too big. Like every year. |
